WHITER THAN WHITE

I buy flour in these handy plastic containers because in the van they stop bugs getting in, they keep the flour dry and the container are useful for storing other perishables. Although this other container was different I clearly marked it so I could store my soap powder and it wouldn't spill all over the car. Now i know you are thinking I made a cake with soap powder...........but no I am not that silly. And now I also know that plain flour does not make your clothes any whiter.

UNFORTUNATE NAME

This van is a "water and beverages" business. Several mornings I have seen it parked partially in the drive-way. Unfortunately this abbreviates the business name to one that does not help the business image.

TOUGH DRESS CODE

You can tell how tough a place is by its dress code. Love the sign on this club in Canberra. Note the last condition above the "No id.No entry".

COUNTRY TOWNS

I went to the bush recently to photograph platypus in the wild. When in the nearby country town I was amused when I thought the pet shop was called Fish and Cips.........then realised that it was a play on words and it was "Fish and Chirps". However there was no mistake about the local club......there it was on the window............Frogs on Toast...............lucky they didn't know where the platypus were.


Ok so maybe they are a band........and below, one of the elusive platypus.

MELTING BUILDING

This is a petrol station on Falcon Street, North Sydney. At some stage it was renovated with a covering of "fake" bricks, however the process obviously didn't work correctly and the bricks sagged. It has been like this for a while and looks like the building is melting. Great for a theme restaurant or fancy dress shop.

KIDS IN THE BACK

While driving out of Sydney in the holiday period I noticed something funny about the car in front. Obviously crammed for room.

CLOSING DOWN SALE

Love this sign on a Crow's Nest shop. "Final" Closing Down Sale! This is better than those carpet places. Incidentally I noticed the sign nearly 12 months ago......long process this closing down.
